Ksenia Broda-Milian

Winnipeg, MB

With longtime training in dance (ballet, modern/contemporary, tap, jazz, and musical theatre) and working as a musical theatre teacher and choreographer, I have a good understanding of choreography, processes, the needs of the medium, and I “speak the language.” Taking dance classes is still a very important part of my life! In addition to degrees from University of Winnipeg (BA Honours) and University of Alberta (MFA), I have also trained in the Designing for Dance Intensive at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Please see my website for more detailed credits and training.

I am passionate about accessibility in all its forms. New works and unconventional spaces are exciting, but I’m also comfortable and happy in traditional venues with classic formats. Collaboration is key!

Dance training/performance experience has included: School of Contemporary Dancers Junior Professional Program and Adult Intensive Program (2007-Current, Winnipeg); Royal Winnipeg Ballet School competitive dance ensemble; Orchesis Dance Group (Edmonton).
